It's midnight. The cabinet door opens, revealing
the scent of dusty cardboard. A
mountain of big box VHS tapes lurch
forth, demanding to be watched,
appreciated, and most of all, never
forgotten. Beware...they may rip
out your guts!
Bleeding Skull
launched in January of 2004. Why?
Because life is too short, simple
pleasures are easily overlooked,
and the world doesn't have to be
as serious as we think it does.
It was time to express a lifelong
obsession with all films spooky
and trashy; to provide a haven for
like-minded individuals that enjoy
these films for what they are. Within
these pages, clinical criticisms
and schooled expertise will forever
bow down to the savoir-faire that
each film holds within. From the
blissful to the torturous, there's
no room for sulks. We're too busy
having fun.
With an eye on functional design
and both feet in the gutter, Bleeding
Skull is dedicated to exploring
the bizarre and obscure in vintage
low budget cinema from the 1950s
to the 1980s. Bags of hot air must
be checked at the door.
